You know, I forget sometimes how much I love certain books. And then I pick them up again and am reminded. Even though I feel like I hear more praise for A Prayer for Owen Meany and The World According to Garp, my favorite John Irving book remains The Cider House Rules, which is a wonderfully rich, interesting, funny, sad, thoughtful, intelligent book. It's one of those books that I find completely satisfying, from start to finish.
I highly recommend it to everyone. Really. Go forth and read it, I do adjure you.
