Get Out and VOTE!
Hey, don't forget to go vote, y'all (well, if you're American)! I voted this morning. Even though the silly voter registration folks had me assigned to a polling place that was 3 times the distance from my apartment as the polling place I voted at last time. (*sigh*) The line wasn't too bad. I just read Nation while I waited.

In VA, at least, polls are open until 7 pm. So...GO VOTE! :)

I finished it a couple of days ago (couldn't really give my opinion before that). I think the beginning is "slower" than a lot of his books, but I totally loved it as a whole - a lot of the middle/end parts gave me chills. :)

I think maybe the first part is how it is because in the beginning, each of them is, essentially, alone, so there can't be as much interaction. For me, it worked because it picks up when others start arriving.

Yeah, it is certainly different from Discworld, but in a good way, I think. I want to read it again after a bit of time has passed. Definitely a "thinking" book, although I found several funny moments.
